How to Choose a Caffeine Pouch: A Buyer’s Checklist

1. Find the caffeine amount per pouch

Kryze uses 228mg of Nexira guarana extract to provide its 50mg caffeine serving. Nexira states that the guarana is sourced in Brazil and the extract is manufactured in France using water extraction and spray-drying.

The source story is useful, but it does not replace the dose. “Made with guarana” should still be followed by the exact caffeine amount.

It also pays to read location claims carefully. For Kryze, Brazil refers to the guarana source and France refers to extract manufacturing and standardization. The product should not be described as using French-grown guarana.

3. Check every highlighted active by amount

A long ingredient list can create an impression of product strength without giving you much to compare. Look for individual amounts, not only a combined blend total.

Kryze discloses the following per pouch:

• 40mg Alpha-GPC;
• 40mg L-Tyrosine;
• 40mg L-Theanine;
• 20mg CoQ10.

That level of disclosure is one of Kryze’s clearest strengths. It tells you what you are buying. It does not mean the finished product is clinically proven to improve focus, memory, mood, or performance.

If a brand turns an ingredient name into a guaranteed outcome, look for product-specific evidence that matches the dose, formula, route of use, and promised result. The FTC requires health-related claims to be truthful, not misleading, and adequately substantiated.

4. Read “free from” claims one at a time

Kryze is:

• nicotine-free;
• tobacco-free;
• sugar-free.

Those are three separate facts. Nicotine-free does not mean caffeine-free, and sugar-free does not mean unsweetened. Kryze uses maltitol, sucralose, and steviol glycosides in its flavor system.

Kryze is also not a nicotine-replacement or smoking-cessation product. A similar pouch shape does not make two products equivalent.

5. Turn the can price into a per-pouch price

A can is not a standard unit across brands. One may contain 15 pouches and another may contain 20, so the sticker price alone can mislead.

6. Choose flavor after formula

Fresh Mint, Citrus Mint, and Green Apple Mint use the same Kryze active formula. The decision is sensory, not a choice between different caffeine strengths.
